Keith Olbermann Calls It Quits

November 28, 2017 by Caleb Marius

Few political commentators have had as tumultuous career as Keith Olbermann. If you’re a conservative, you’re likely aware of this foaming at the mouth leftist, who made his name trashing President Bush as a host at the nuthouse network MSNBC.

The lunatic got his start as an anchor on ESPN’s Sportscenter a lifetime ago but moved into politics in the early 2000s. He’s renowned for his acidic sarcasm and insults, which he almost exclusively hurled at conservatives. Since leaving MSNBC several years ago, he’s bounced around a few random media enterprises, his latest being GQ. Since Trump came into office, he’s been making incredibly hateful and unhinged videos for GQ, having positioned himself as a member of the “Trump resistance.” However, all things must come to end.

As reported at the Daily Caller, after years of screaming at any camera that would point his way, Olbermann has announced his retirement from political commentary altogether. And nothing of value was lost.

The former MSNBC host made the announcement during the final episode of “The Resistance,” a political YouTube show sponsored by his latest employer, GQ.

“No illness, no scandal, no firing. Just, I’ve said what I’ve had to say. It was as obvious as I made it seem,” said Olbermann.

In the days leading up to his retirement, Olbermann’s been trying to convince folks that Trump will inevitably be kicked from office or even resign. He believes that Trump colluded with Russia during the election, and thinks that he should be impeached for it.

“I’ve made my point…I’d like to go back and enjoy some of my life again,” said Olbermann. He went on to whine about his lackluster show, claiming he has “not enjoyed one minute of it.”

“As, I’m certain, it has also been for you, for me, it has been unadulterated pain and revulsion and horror. The process has become nearly 24/7,” said Olbermann, who says he produced the show without pay. “I am retiring from political commentary in all media venues.”

Before signing off for the last time, Olbermann was sure to bash mainstream media and the “dim-witted world of American political TV reporting, which is still trying to get dim-witted Trump supporters to watch their network.”

Let’s just say that Olbermann won’t be missed. He’s managed to burn every professional bridge in recent years, which is why he’s been stuck making YouTube videos over the past year. With his sudden departure from GQ, this is likely the last time any entity will risk hiring the flake, which is fantastic news. The poison he spews has no place on the airwaves, and thanks to his self-destruction, we no longer have to suffer his insanity.
