While the media’s busy trying to convince the public the Russia/Trump narrative they’ve been pushing over the last year is true, another investigation is underway. Despite the litany of scandals the Clinton’s have been embroiled in, you’d think that none of it ever happened the way the media talks about the two criminals.
It’s barely been a year since the election and there’s never a mention about Hillary’s emails or the shady uranium deal the Clinton Foundation helped broker with who else, but the Russians. The latter scandal is potentially more explosive than the email saga, which is exactly why the left-wing media’s been so determined to downplay and cover it up. That, and because it also could damage their lord and savior, Obama. However, after dragging his feet on the issue during the first year as Attorney General, Jeff Sessions is finally releasing the hounds on the Clinton’s as was promised by Trump.
As reported at the Daily Mail, Sessions has instructed Justice Department prosecutors to ask FBI agents about a past criminal investigation into a business transaction that put 20 percent of America’s uranium mining capacity in the hands of the Russian government.
While leftists have been howling about Trump’s supposed Russia connections, very real ones between the Clinton’s and the Russian government/business entities have been in plain sight.
The Uranium One deal was brokered with the help of the Clinton Foundation while Hillary was top dog at the State Department. For some reason, no red flags were raised when the Clinton’s not only stood to further enrich themselves, but the US was giving away uranium to its nuclear adversary.
In November, an assistant attorney general told Congress that the DOJ was considering whether or not the case warranted the appointment of a special prosecutor. This latest news seems to indicate that may finally be happening.
President Trump has long called out the insane hypocrisy of the media on the issue or Russia, as it’s ignored Clinton’s tangible ties while desperately trying to fabricate his.
He challenged reporters in October to “cover the uranium scandal” and said: “That’s your real Russia story, not a story where they talk about collusion, and there was none. It was a hoax.”
“The big story,” he said in the Oval Office, “is uranium and how Russia got 20 percent of our uranium. And, frankly, it’s a disgrace.“
Of course, should a special counsel be appointed, it’ll result in a media firestorm, as claims of political payback and witch-hunts will be parroted by across the left-wing spectrum. To help mitigate those claims, the White House has insisted that Trump’s keeping his hands off.
“The president hasn’t directed any investigation or the appointment of a special counsel,” press secretary Sarah Sanders said in November.
“In fact, he said publicly that he hasn’t been involved with that, and that’s entirely up to the Department of Justice.” Of course, this will hardly stop the Left from calling Trump a dictator and claim he’s abusing power. Nevertheless, it’s an issue that warrants an investigation. If resources can be wasted trying to manufacture ties between Trump and Russia, then surely some can be spared to ascertain how and why the Clinton’s were able to personally benefit from a deal involving the Russians and our precious uranium supply.
