Roy Moore is racking up accusers. Multiple women claim that the Alabama judge fondled and harassed them when they were just young girls. Moore, who was district attorney at the time of the accusations, used his power to intimidate teenagers into engaging in sexual behavior.
Ivanka Trump didn’t mince words when asked about Moore.
“There’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children,” she told the Associated Press. “I’ve yet to see a valid explanation [from Moore] and I have no reason to doubt the victims’ accounts.”
It’s amazing that Moore is still in the race. Next month he’s going to battle a Democrat for the Senate seat vacated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Alabama voters are going to be presented with a child molester and die-hard Democrat.
Ivanka’s opinion isn’t unusual. The Republican hierarchy has already distanced itself from Moore. His funding has been cut. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell publicly blasted him; House Speaker Paul Ryan quickly followed suit.
President Trump himself made it clear that if the allegations are true, Moore needs to remove himself from the race.
Against all advice, Moore is still trying to win the upcoming election. Even if he wins, he’ll likely be thrown out of the Senate. He should take the tatters of his reputation and retire.
Moore spent his career pretending to be a chaste man. His hypocrisy is sickening. Democrats are secretly gloating that he’s been outed as a pedophile. Moore’s crimes tarnished the entire party.
