An Air Force technical sergeant tanked her career Friday by posting a racist, vitriolic rant on Facebook.
“…F****** issues with my airmen and my NCOs that are lower ranking than me but they’re black females. And it pisses me the f*** off that they have no f****** respect and constantly having an attitude. And what the f*** is up with that?” Geraldine Lovely screeched in a Facebook Live video.
The shocking diatribe quickly rocketed across social media. Lovely is a superior officer in the U.S. military, it’s wildly inappropriate for her to be publicly denigrating her subordinates. The poor women lampooned in Lovely’s rant are forbidden from sticking up for themselves, legally they’re required to do whatever their superior officer says.
“Why is it that every time I encounter my subordinates that are black females they have a giant f****** attitude? I mean, it’s not like I’m coming to them with a f****** attitude – I don’t. But every time I f****** talk to them it’s like I’m just some f****** stupid a** girl who just doesn’t even… deserve to be talked to as a person,” Lovely snarls in the short video.
The reaction was swift and negative.
“This is bullsh**. Be an NCO. A REAL NCO wouldn’t see colors other than CAMO and would utilize every avenue to address the issue from the bottom up. Grow up, and lead the way we were all trained,” technical sergeant named Johnny Frink commented.
Lovely has already been removed from her post. The military, whatever else you want to say about it, is efficient. Air Force officials responded to the controversy almost immediately.
“TSgt Geraldine Lovely, a member of the 99th Force Support Squadron, has been removed from her supervisory role while leadership continues to gather facts regarding this incident,” Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas said in a statement.
Leadership are exploring disciplinary actions and are checking to see if this is a broader issue on the base.”
