Republicans have been divided recently, as one conservative commentator is being hotly debated for her comments on The View. Tomi Lahren was let go from Glen Beck’s The Blaze after an appearance on The View where she announced her pro-choice beliefs.
Via The Hill:
Lahren was reportedly permanently banned from the conservative news outlet earlier this month. The Blaze owns her Facebook page, and founder Glenn Beck doesn’t want to relinquish it, according to TMZ.
But Lahren tells The Hill that “negotiations are ongoing.”
The 24-year-old University of Nevada, Las Vegas grad was removed from the network after appearing on ABC’s “The View” and revealing she opposes laws against abortion, saying she’s against the government dictating anything from gun rights to what women do with their bodies.
“You know what? I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well,” Lahren said at the time.
Many are castigating Beck for his termination of Lahren’s show, saying he’s only interested in employing puppets. Beck has another answer for them:

To be honest, though, even if you don’t agree with Beck’s reasons for letting Lahren go her separate way from The Blaze, you have to acknowledge that it’s his right to employ whoever he wants. In many people’s opinion, Lahren called conservatives inconsistent and idiotic. That is a blatant alienation of Beck’s primary audience, and it can’t be good for his brand.
And as far as Lahren is concerned, with the amount of press she’s gotten lately, it’s a pretty sure bet that she’s going to come out on top. We’re told both sides are talking and they will probably reach some resolution by the end of the week. The Facebook followers may get horse traded as part of the package.
