Evidence is pouring in to support Stormy Daniels’ claim that she had a sexual relationship with President Trump. A friend of the porn star confirmed to reporters this week that the fling really occurred.
Daniels would let her friend listen when Donald Trump called her. Keith Munyan, a photographer mentioned in the nondisclosure agreement signed by Daniels in 2016, said that the future president was always polite when he called.
“The only thing I ever heard him do is just babble like he always does,” Munyan said. “The conversation I remember the most is about the condominium. … I heard her say, ‘I don’t want that. That’s not what I want.’”
Munyan claims that Trump offered to buy Daniels a Florida condo in 2006. At the time Trump was married to Melania and their child Barron was still a newborn.
The details of the alleged affair aren’t particularly interesting. Daniels and Trump had a brief, consensual fling twelve years ago. The story is now a scandal because it was revealed that Trump’s personal lawyer paid Daniels $130,000 to keep her mouth shut about the tryst.
Daniels and her legal team are now trying to wriggle out of the NDA. Last week she filed a lawsuit challenging Trump’s right to hold her to her word, this week she offered to return the $130,000 she received in exchange for being able to talk about her story.
“The President and Mr. Cohen have purposely ignored our settlement offer, thus doubling down on their efforts to muzzle… (Daniels) and prevent her from telling the American people what happened. Time to buckle up. #basta,” her lawyer wrote on Twitter.
Trump’s team has denied the allegations so far. Trump himself has remained uncharacteristically silent. If Daniels’ story turns out to be true, it won’t change anything for Trump supporters.
