Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock somewhere, you’ve probably heard about the controversy over the wiretap at Trump Towers. In case you haven’t been following the play by play, here’s basically how it went.
- Trump tweeted that Obama had him wiretapped.
- The media called Trump crazy.
- Obama made a vague and almost elusive denial, which pretty much confirmed that he did it.
- The media’s fall back plan was to say that President Trump obtained the information about the wiretap illegally . . . even though he’s the President . . . and even though the wiretapping did happen. Talk about a desperation move.
Now that you’re all caught up, and just in case you’re crazy enough to want to believe the mainstream media, that there are things above the President’s pay grade, here is former secret service agent, Dan Bongino, with an alternate theory.
What Bongino is referring to is a classic “false horns of a dilemma.” This would be like if I told you “you can have fish or chicken” when in fact the options are fish, chicken or steak.
All you will hear about, though, over and over, are chicken and fish, chicken and fish. Now, I could have many reasons for only giving you 2 of the three options. Maybe the steak would be bad for you because you have high cholesterol, but the more likely answer would be that there is probably only one steak left, and I want to eat it myself. Either way, the point is, I withheld information and mislead you to serve my own purposes.
This is a really common tactic by politicians and especially the media. They get you so bogged down and distracted by the two bad options, you neglect to look around and see if maybe there’s a door #3.
Unfortunately for them, Trump supporters aren’t the mindless sheep that the Hillary fans were, and we can make up our own minds. And by the way, we will have the steak.
