In Sarasota, Florida, a local arts project put a few pianos on the street. The pianos were donated to the city as part of the project, so that when people pass by, someone might be able to play some music for any passersby.
Well when the paths of this homeless veteran and a donated piano cross, magic happens.

Incredible! I’ll never listen to that song and not think of this guy. His name is Donald Gould and he has a musical background including learning clarinet when he was a young boy. After his wife died in 1998, he lost his son to social services after developing a severe drug problem. What an amazing story. We hope he gets back on his feet and reunites with his son soon! Our troops deserve the best, after all.
