Last week, Page Six reported that another Trump might be on some of our ballots very soon. Trump 2.0 (aka Donald Trump Jr.) apparently made tentative plans to run for the office of Governer of New York.
Via Page Six:
When asked about his political ambitions, [Donald Jr. said] he would love to follow his father, President Donald Trump, into office.
A guest at Tuesday’s meeting told Page Six, “Don Jr. said he is interested in running for office, such as governor of New York, but the position of mayor of New York would be less interesting to him.”
Don Jr. added that he didn’t want to be one of 100 Senators, nor a member of Congress.
Campaigning alongside his father made him think about his future, with him saying, “Do I want to be behind the scenes and be a mouthpiece and fight back against crazy liberal media? Maybe.” Don Jr. joked that he missed the intensity of the presidential campaign: “Going back to doing deals is boring after 18 months. The politics bug bit me.”
Those aspirations are now apparently on hold though. A new report from AP Politics has said that Don Jr does NOT plan to challenge the incumbent in the 2018 election for New York Governor.
Donald Trump Jr. says he may run for office someday, but not for NY governor in 2018,

According to AP News:
“I am not running in 2018,” Trump said in his first public comments about a possible candidacy next year. But he acknowledged having been bitten by the politics bug and said that he could consider a run down the road. “Maybe someday,” Trump said. “It’s not something I’m doing now. But you never know, it’s fascinating stuff.”
Haveing already followed in dad’s footsteps in almost every other way, I think it’s a pretty safe bet that he will get involved in some sort of political race before too long. And if is policies mirror his dad’s at all, I for one would wish him the best of luck. American is ready for some politicians with good old fashioned common sense, so if that means more outsiders, then bring it on.
