An angry Millennial disrespected the late Billy Graham’s memory within hours of his decease.
“The big news today is that Billy Graham was still alive this whole time. Anyway, have fun in hell, b****,” Teen Vogue columnist Lauren Duca tweeted.
If she was angling for attention, she got it. Social media users were horrified by her lack of tact.
“First off all girl get yourself some class, Second of all why are you so mad?! Third, Sorry to disappoint you but I can guarantee you that he is not in hell,” someone commented.
Graham, 99, died Wednesday. The beloved theologian was known as “America’s Pastor.” He was one of the few individuals able to cross social lines and affect people from all walks of life. Multiple U.S. president relied on his guidance.
“The GREAT Billy Graham is dead. There was nobody like him! He will be missed by Christians and all religions. A very special man,” President Trump tweeted.
First Lady Melania, meanwhile, added: “Saddened by the loss of Evangelist Billy Graham. He led an impactful life, touching so many people with his spiritual teachings. He will be deeply missed.”
A lot of young liberals turn their noses up at religious figures. Duca defended her cruel tweet by referencing an off-hand, decades-old comment that Graham made about homosexuality. She reduces his entire career to a few thoughtless words.
Barack Obama and Bill Clinton also made statements when Graham’s death was announced.
“Billy Graham was a humble servant who prayed for so many – and who, with wisdom and grace, gave hope and guidance to generations of Americans,” Obama tweeted.
Bill Clinton wrote: “Billy has finished his long good race, leaving our world a better place and claiming his place in glory.”
Graham was an extraordinarily successful man who touched countless lives. Yet liberals like Duca sneer at his legacy.
"Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don't believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God." —@BillyGraham
