Did you hear that? It was the sound of Sen. Al Franken’s career experiencing its death throes. Another woman has come forward claiming that Franken groped her while taking a picture.
Lindsay Menz, 33, told reporters that Franken violated her during a 2010 state fair appearance. The senator, who apparently has a habit of getting handsy in pictures, is accused of resting his hand on her butt while the two posed for a quick picture.
He “pulled me in really close, like awkward close, and as my husband took the picture, he put his hand full-fledged on my rear… It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek,” Menz recalled.
“It wasn’t around my waist. It wasn’t around my hip or side. It was definitely on my butt… I was like, oh my God, what’s happening.”
Franken’s first accuser, model Leeann Tweeden, claims that he forced his tongue down her throat and fondled her breasts while she was passed out. A picture of the leering Franken cupping Tweeden’s chest went viral.
He can’t argue against Tweeden’s claims because she provided proof, but he does deny acting inappropriately with Menz.
“I take thousands of photos at the state fair surrounded by hundreds of people, and I certainly don’t remember taking this picture,” Franken said. “I feel badly that Ms. Menz came away from our interaction feeling disrespected.”
Franken is still clinging to his Senate seat, but calls for his resignation are getting louder. Men who sexually harass women don’t deserve to be ruling the country.
Another accuser has come forward to say Al Franken groped and grabbed her. No wonder he has carpal tunnel syndrome. #creepyalfranken #AlFrankenGroper
