Why Did Comey Take Notes On Every Meeting With Trump, But Not With Hillary or Obama?

There were more than a few interesting facts that came out of former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony on Thursday. The thorough going over that every single interaction he’d ever had with the President brought to light that Comey had been so unsure of the President’s new way of doing things, that he’d decided to take copious notes about each and every interaction they had. Not a bad idea, seeing as even bad notes taken at the time are always going to be better than a good memory.

However, the question of the hour is; if Comey was so meticulous in his note taking with powerful people, why not take notes when he talked with Hillary Clinton?

Via The Gateway Pundit:

Fired FBI Director, James Comey said in a prepared opening statement released Wednesday that he didn’t keep detailed memos on his conversations with Obama like he did with Donald Trump.

Comey took notes on EVERY meeting with President Trump before and after his inauguration.
But Comey only spoke with Obama twice!

Even after the DNC computers were ‘hacked’ he never spoke with the Democrat president about the criminal attack on his party’s computers!

Former Director James Comey also did not record his THREE HOUR interview with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on her likely criminal email activity.

Comey skipped the meeting.
The FBI did not swear in Hillary Clinton during her testimony.
The Hill reported:

Hillary Clinton did not swear an oath to tell the truth before meeting with the FBI for three and a half hours last weekend, and the interview was not recorded, FBI Director James Comey told House lawmakers on Thursday.

The lack of a sworn oath does not remove the possibility of criminal penalties against Clinton if she lied to the FBI, though he said he had “no basis to conclude” that she was untruthful.

“Still a crime to lie to us,” Comey told the House Oversight Committee.
FBI policy is not to record interviews as part of its investigations.

Yet the revelations will nonetheless raise questions among Republicans, who have been skeptical of the FBI’s investigation and have demanded to see the transcript of the former secretary of State’s interview in downtown Washington on Saturday.

A lot of conservatives felt that James Comey was far too lenient with Hillary Clinton when her crimes came to light. Despite his reporting her little inbox snafu to the American people, there were countless reasons for the FBI to have hauled her in and given her the law enforcement once over that she so richly deserved. This is what made the conservatives hate him. The Democrats hated him because he gave their precious Hillary any bad press at all (despite that he should have given her a jail cell, and didn’t).

In all probability, the unfamiliarity of having someone as unconventional as President Trump talking off the cuff is what caused Comey to feel the need to document his interactions, while the slick political jargon of the Clintons makes a Washington insider feel right at home. So this may be an instance of bad instincts, but it’s doubtful that it’s anything more.
