Everyone was up in arms when Trump said we should ban muslim immigrants from coming into the U.S. Now ted Cruz says this and there’s barely a peep out of the mainstream media. Go figure.
Last night during the presidential debate, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio were sparring back and forth about the monitoring of citizens and their private conversations. Cruz then spoke up and might have said something that contained classified information.
The committee is looking into whether Cruz’s comments regarding recent changes in the metadata collection program, which was the subject of a testy exchange between Cruz and Sen Marco Rubio (R-FL).
“The old program covered 20 percent to 30 percent of phone numbers to search for terrorists, the new program covers nearly 100 percent,” Cruz said, “That gives us greater ability to stop acts of terrorism, and he knows that that’s the case.”
Rubio began his response to Cruz by saying, “Let me be very careful when answering this, because I don’t think national television in front of 15 million people is the place to discuss classified information.”
It’s quite possible that Cruz did release sensitive information during the debate. If this is the case, his campaign could be on the downswing as he might be investigated by the FBI. Cruz is Trump’s closest competitor at this point and this would put Trump firmly ahead of every other Republican competitor!
