Liberal talking heads absolutely devoured a New York Times report indicating that Donald Trump Jr. met with a Russian lawyer in an attempt to learn negative information about Hillary Clinton. Democrats are now casually tossing around words like “collusion” and “treason.”
But was Trump Jr’s meeting really the smoking gun that media claims it is? The Clinton campaign engaged in much dirtier behavior, yet her antics were excused. The Times never published the story of Clinton’s involvement with Ukraine.
“Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office. They also disseminated documents implicating a top Trump aide in corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter, only to back away after the election. And they helped Clinton’s allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers….”
The Clinton/Ukraine machine was highly organized. The allegations were made by people unafraid to use their names, unlike the “sources” fueling the Russia scandal. When Hillary attempts to smear Donald Trump, the left calls it politics. When a member of the Trump campaign does it, they call it “collusion.”
“While it’s not uncommon for outside operatives to serve as intermediaries between governments and reporters, one of the more damaging Russia-related stories for the Trump campaign — and certainly for Manafort — can be traced more directly to the Ukrainian government.”
Interesting. One of the worst scandals to hit the Trump campaign, that of Paul Manafort, was engineered by Clinton allies. Yet it’s President Trump who plays dirty?
Liberals are losing their minds; the made-up Russia scandal has unseated their reason. Their entire agenda has become to defy Trump.
The Daily Caller notes:
“A veteran DNC operative who previously worked in the Clinton White House, Alexandra Chalupa, worked with Ukrainian government officials and journalists from both Ukraine and America to dig up Russia-related opposition research on Trump and Manafort. She also shared her anti-Trump research with both the DNC and the Clinton campaign...”
Chalupa worked tirelessly for months. Her sole purpose was to smear the Trump campaign. WikiLeaks published an email she sent to Luis Miranda, then the DNC’s communications director.
“A lot more coming down the pipe. I spoke to a delegation of 68 investigative journalists from Ukraine last Wednesday at the Library of Congress – the Open World Society’s forum – they put me on the program to speak specifically about Paul Manafort and I invited [Yahoo News reporter] Michael Isikoff whom I’ve been working with for the past few weeks and connected him to the Ukrainians,” Chalupa told Miranda.
“More offline tomorrow since there is a big Trump component you and Lauren need to be aware of that will hit in next few weeks and something I’m working on you should be aware of.”
Foreign collusion might have impaired the 2016 election. However, one of the guilty parties has already been punished- she lost.
