Not a day goes by that the leftists in media don’t manufacture a controversy about President Trump. They’re not even hiding the fact that they’re in opposition to the president, that they hate everything about conservatives.
Nothing is off limits for them, as they’ll stoop as low as necessary to get Trump out of office, which their latest line of attack proves. Right now, the media’s ripping Trump apart over claims that he hasn’t called fallen soldiers’ families, and that when he has, he’s been cold and broken promises he made them. But not everyone is buying this convenient and gift-wrapped controversy that’s seemingly fallen right into the Left’s lap after Trump, just days ago, criticized Obama’s treatment of Gold Star families.
As reported at the Hill, former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly took to Twitter to bash the media for reporting a Democratic congresswoman’s summary of a phone call Trump made to the family of a soldier killed in Niger “as truth.”
“No proof needed for the media which immediately reported the Congresswoman’s allegations as truth,” O’Reilly wrote to his 2.31 million followers on Twitter. O’Reilly then added, “this whole thing has the look of a setup.”
“I don’t know what was said, and neither does any other member of the press. But this whole thing has the look of a setup, does it not?” O’Reilly tweeted.
Leftist Rep. Frederica Wilson of Florida claimed that Trump told the soldier’s widow, Myeshia Johnson, that her husband “knew what he signed up for.” Trump responded to her accusations on Twitter.
“Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!” Trump tweeted.
The incident in question occurred on Tuesday, when the president spoke with the families of the four soldiers killed in an ambush in Niger on Oct. 4. The accusing congresswoman was in the car with Trump when he made a call to the Johnson family, and quickly went to the media with her description of it.
Johnson’s mother has come out and confirmed that Wilson was in the car and agreed that the president disrespected her family, but didn’t comment on what exactly was said that made her feel that way.
“I didn’t say what that congresswoman said — didn’t say it at all — she knows it,” Trump told reporters on Wednesday. “I would like her to make the statement again because I did not say what she said.”
Wilson responded to Trump, calling him “a sick man” and saying she had “no reason to lie.” Yeah, well, neither does he. But a leftist nobody like yourself certainly does.
Remember when Hillary called the mother of fallen Benghazi soldier a liar after she told her, in front of her son’s flag-draped coffin, that a YouTube video was responsible for inciting the riot that led to her son’s death. When the woman recalled to the media what Clinton said, Hillary denied it, saying she “mis-remembered.”
I seem to recall the media automatically taken Madam Hillary’s side of the story, labeling the woman as crazy and treating her like garbage because she happened to not be a whack-job liberal. But suddenly they’re more than willing to believe that Trump did something wrong. Despite the fact that Obama was accused of similar things during his presidency as well, yet they never paid any mind to those claims because who really cares what the families of dead soldiers think if they’re not on the Left’s side.
This whole situation is appalling, no matter what the truth is. It’s hard to believe that something so fortuitous for the Left would occur days after Trump accused Obama of coldness towards fallen soldiers’ families. Not only that, that Trump would immediately do something he just accused Obama. With the Left so consistently spitting out fake news, it’s anyone’s guess what really happened.
