Doug Jones is the new Hillary Clinton. Political “experts” insisted that he was going to win Alabama’s upcoming Senate election. His opponent, accused pervert Roy Moore, was thought to have destroyed his own chances.
Despite their smug convictions, Moore trusted in his constituents and refused to drop out of the race. It looks like he was wise to do so.
“The JMC Analytics poll found that 48 percent of likely voters support Moore, while 43 percent of likely voters back Democrat Doug Jones. The poll has a margin of error of 3.5 percent,” notes the Daily Caller.
Moore has been painted as a monster, a child molester, but Alabama voters aren’t convinced. The charges are too old, too hard to prove. A lot of people are uneasy about potentially electing a pedophile to the Senate, but others are afraid of unfairly lampooning an innocent man.
President Trump weighed in on the matter by attacking Jones on Twitter.
“The last thing we need in Alabama and the U.S. Senate is a Schumer/Pelosi puppet who is WEAK on Crime, WEAK on the Border, Bad for our Military and our great Vets, Bad for our 2nd Amendment, AND WANTS TO RAISES TAXES TO THE SKY,” Trump tweeted Sunday. “Jones would be a disaster!”
According to the Daily Caller, pollsters determined that “sexual misconduct allegations against Moore have not materially impacted the race.”
Moore’s troubles won’t end if he’s elected to the Senate. Enough high-profile Republicans have pitted themselves against him that there’s a real chance they’ll open an ethics investigation into his conduct. Moore could enter the Senate just to be thrown out.
