One of the best features of Trump’s agenda is his willingness to take on the globalists in the US and abroad. Rather than kowtow to the America second supporters and global organizations that are effectively useless, the president would rather focus on his own’s nation’s issues.
On top of that, if America is to help other nations, he’s decided to take a more direct approach, rather than go through the corrupt to the core United Nations. The UN is disproportionately funded by the US, yet it’s filled and led by anti-American, anti-freedom officials from various parts of the globe.
Trump has been highly critical of the UN’s many shortcomings and bias against the US, as this week it’s been revealed that we’ll start bypassing the UN when it comes to relief efforts, which are one of the primary functions of the organization.
As reported at the Hill, Vice President Mike Pence announced on Wednesday that Trump has told the State Department to stop funding “ineffective ” United Nations relief efforts and instead directly provide humanitarian aid via USAID and “faith-based groups”
Pence outlined the plan during a speech at the In Defense of Christians annual Solidarity Dinner for Christians in the Middle East, saying the international body has “often failed to help the most vulnerable communities especially religious minorities.”
“We will no longer rely on the United Nations alone to assist persecuted Christians and minorities in the wake of genocide and the atrocities of terrorist groups,” Pence said to applause.
“The United States will work hand in hand from this day forward with faith-based groups and private orgs to help those who are persecuted for their faith. This is the moment, now is the time, and America will support these people in their hour of need.”
Pence then called out the UN for repeatedly denying funding requests of many faith-based organizations, despite their long and proven track records. The reason, of course, is because the UN is obsessed with kowtowing to Islamists, as Muslim groups like the Organization of the Islamic Conference have incredible influence at the UN.
“Those days are over,” Pence said. “Our fellow Christians and all who are persecuted in the Middle East should not have to rely on multinational institutions when America can help them directly.”
While the UN has always been quick to protect and bring attention to persecution of religious or ethnic groups, when it comes to Christians, they couldn’t care less. Even though ISIS has been engaging in genocide against Christians in the Middle East for years now. But it’s not just the UN that’s ignored their senseless deaths and cries for help.
The Obama administration and leftists in the US were and are all about letting in refugees affected by ISIS and the meltdown in Syria. However, Obama’s State Department deliberately and disproportionately discriminated against Christian refugees, instead prioritizing Muslims. It was a brazen and disgusting act that saw our own nation leave Christians to their fates while at the same time, sparking movements to “let them [Muslims] in.”
But Trump and Pence will now begin a radical new approach to dishing out aid and relief to those in need, that being doing it our self. During his speech, Pence made it clear that the US will help Christians in the Middle East, a place they’ve called home for millennia, yet are now on the verge of extinction thanks to Islamic persecution.
“Let me assure you tonight, President Trump and I see these crimes for what they are: vile acts of persecution animated by hatred for Christians in the gospel of Christ,” he said. “And so too does this president know who and what has perpetrated these crimes and he calls them by name: radical Islamic terrorists.”
As the saying goes, if you want something done right, you’ve got to do it yourself.
