Another bonehead move by Obama right here. Another day closer to getting him out of office.
The Keystone XL pipeline was set to be a major win for the U.S. in the fight against foreign oil. The pipeline was set to expand on the already existing pipeline with a wider pipe and a shorter trip for the natural reserves to travel, thus, making the need for foreign oil just the same as it’s always been. Instead of partnering with Canada, we now have to deal with Iran. And surprise surprise, that’s exactly who Obama just made a large deal with.
The decision to reject the pipeline comes after TransCanada requested to pause the review, potentially in hopes that the next administration would be friendlier to the project. The State Department rejected that request, allowing Obama to make his statement beside Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry Friday morning from the White House.
In fact, one reporter from the Associated Press thinks this is just a way for Obama to cement his legacy. In my opinion, that legacy is, “Worst President Ever.”
Thanks Obama. Now our friendly neighbors in Canada will be giving their oil to China instead of us at a cheaper rate than what we would have gotten from Iran or Middle Eastern countries.
Is it 2016 yet?
