Maybe you’ve wondered what spawned the awful rioting and subsequent deaths in Virginia over the weekend. “Racism” is probably the first thing that comes to mind when we want to blame something, but racism has been around for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Perhaps we can just slap the blame on “extremists” and carry on.
The problem is the timing. We are left wondering why now, and why there. Yes, stupid people acting out their violence is another obvious answer, however, stupid people most often have inspiration before the lash out in this massive way.
According to many who’ve followed this racism issue in America today very closely, they think the mainstream media is the one to blame for throwing the match into this particular social powder keg.

Days ago, an Ohio man drove a car into counter-protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, killing 1 and wounding scores. Eyewitnesses called the act intentional – and video of the incident shows the car having ample time and space to accelerate before plowing recklessly into the crowd. No matter which side of the political spectrum you’re on, this is an act of cowardice and evil.
Violence and hate is not an efficient tool of progress. Whether vitriolic hate is being spewed by dumpy white nationalists or naive, wet-behind-the-ears Antifa members – it doesn’t matter. As Americans, the one thing we should be able to unite and stand defiant against is real, ugly hate. However, instead of everyone standing up to say “enough“, it seems we’re all too content to point fingers and place blame on others. If your emotions and outrage include you insulting and demeaning an entire group (or race) of people, you’re not being part of a constructive solution; instead, you’re playing right into the mainstream media’s hands.
The moment the car rammed into counter-protesters in Charlottesville, the mainstream media had their narrative ready to go – regardless of facts or reality. As opposed to every other tragedy where the legacy media waited to provide any conclusions and united against violence or hate; Charlottesville was markedly different. With the mainstream media’s total willingness to push their narrative as soon as the news broke, they potentially used domestic terrorism to further their agenda. I’ve detailed and chronicled the abject shamelessness of the mainstream media but this is a new low, even for them…
There’s a distinct feeling among liberals who were devastated at Hillary’s loss, that any failure in the United States today is a loss for President Trump. There are several problems with that, not the least of which is that any damage done now will have to be lived with by Americans (us, me, you, those inciting violence) for years to come.
President Trump has four, or at the most, eight years to effect the change that he believes Americans want to see in the United States, and those who oppose him (including the media) seem to be spending that time neutralizing as much of his actions and reputation as possible.
But, again, the problem is that the checks written to those who cry racism today will be cashed in very soon. Just because you’re temporarily on board with their anti-Trump rhetoric, doesn’t mean you’ll always appreciate the mob mentality that you’re fostering in the hearts of an entire generation.
