San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz is still preening for attention. She capitalized off of Puerto Rico’s pain by attacking President Trump and making a name for herself. The trick worked so well she’s doing it again.
Cruz wore a “Nasty” t-shirt during a televised interview Wednesday.
“What is ‘nasty’ is that you turn your back on the Puerto Rican people,” she whined.
Cruz has claimed that her exaggerations regarding Hurricane Maria’s destruction and her war with the president weren’t motivated by politics. The left seems to believe her; MSNBC’s pundits keep fawning over Cruz during interviews.
“It doesn’t make you feel good… I think his staff understands now, and they have all the data they need, but I would hope that the president of the United States stop spouting out comments that hurt the people of Puerto Rico,” Cruz said.
President Trump visited San Juan just yesterday. He acknowledged that the island needs help, and committed to securing to funds from Congress. If Trump didn’t care about Puerto Rico, the people would be suffering far more than they are now.
Cruz seems to be angling for fame and attention. I’m sure she cares about the island, she just seems to care about herself more.
