The Feds Move In On Illegal Immigrants “Caravan” At Southern Border

The migrant caravan snaking its way through Mexico finally reached its destination.

Hundreds of defiant illegal immigrants are now battering at the gates, desperately trying to get into the U.S. Some walked across the border openly, claiming asylum. Others tried to creep across, sneaking into the country like criminals.

Federal authorities swooped in on the gang as they arrived at the border. Almost 12 people have been nabbed so far. According to Fox News the Justice Department has filed charges against 11 caravan members.

Ignoring border law and entering the U.S. illegally is a crime. One of the arrested caravan members is a repeat offender.

“The migrant ‘caravan’ that is openly defying our border shows how weak & ineffective U.S. immigration laws are. Yet Democrats like Jon Tester continue to support the open borders agenda – Tester even voted to protect Sanctuary Cities. We need lawmakers who will put America First,” Trump tweeted.

Tester is a Montana senator.

Two of the migrants facing charges are from El Salvador. Three are from Guatemala and six are from Honduras.

Most of the caravan is still loitering in Mexico. Those who can’t make a reasonable asylum claim and who also want to avoid getting arrested by Border Patrol don’t have a lot of options.

The caravan has received a ton of attention. Liberals love the idea, they want the migrant horde to have a fairytale ending. They’d be happy if Border Patrol stepped aside and allowed the migrants to waltz into the country.

Fortunately, that’s not what’s going to happen. The Trump administration is committed to defending the border. The migrants with a legitimate need for asylum will be allowed into the U.S. The rest will have to remain in Mexico.
