President Trump and “crazy” Joe Biden are still squabbling. They began trading digs while Trump was running for office and the rivalry hasn’t stopped.
Biden tore into Trump in front of a high school crowd this week, bragging that he wanted to physically assault the president.
“A guy who ended up becoming our national leader said, ‘I can grab a woman anywhere and she likes it,’” Biden said.
“They asked me if I’d like to debate this gentleman, and I said, ‘No.’ I said, ‘If I were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.’”
Trump responded the next day.
“Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy,” Trump fired back.
“Actually he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down hard and fast, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!”
Biden’s not very creative. He used the same high school insult against Trump in 2016. “The press always asks me, ‘Don’t I wish I were debating him?’… “No, I wish we were in high school. I could take him behind the gym. That’s what I wish.”
It’s easy to be a hypothetical tough guy. Biden may have a chance to throw down against Trump for real, however. The two men are too old to duke it out on the playground but there are rumors that Biden is considering a 2020 presidential run.
“You know when he’s Mr. Tough Guy? When he’s standing behind a microphone by himself!” Trump said in 2016. “He wants to bring me to the back of the barn! Ooooh!”
Biden needs to get a new schtick if he wants to beat Trump in a national election.
