Ahh, the nostalgia. November 9th. This time last year Hillary Clinton’s head was spinning as the country embraced newly elected President Trump.
” Congratulations to all of the ‘DEPLORABLES’ and the millions of people who gave us a MASSIVE (304-227) Electoral College landslide victory! ” Trump posted on Twitter yesterday.
American politics changed last November. Clinton thought that the election was hers to win before she officially announced that she was running. The Clinton dynasty, however, was smashed. People are sick of establishment politicians.
Of course, Clinton is too enmeshed in her own lies to recognize the truth. Instead of humbly accepting defeat, she attacked Trump voters.
“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?” Clinton said during a fundraiser last year. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic – you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”
Trump’s celebratory victory tweet trolls Clinton’s attack.
The president has had an awesome year. People said that he couldn’t do it, that he would he resign, that he would be impeached. They were wrong.
Clinton’s bitterness shows no sign of relenting. She’s spent the last year yapping about her loss and coming up with things to attack Trump about. Imagine the regret we’d be feeling now if we had elected her. We’d have a duplicitous, sickly ego-maniac in control of the White House.
Luckily, we have President Trump. Voters knew what they were doing.
